17th–24th November 2025 marks National Self-Care Week. This year's theme is Mind and Body. It is a national campaign that reminds us how important it is to look after both our mind and body.
Throughout 2025, we’ve been sharing weekly tips on socials on how to care for your health and wellbeing — and this week brings all those messages together.
The theme this year, “Mind and Body”, encourages everyone to take simple, positive steps to improve physical and mental health. Self-care doesn’t have to be complicated — small daily habits can make a big difference.
Here are some ideas and reminders for Self-Care Week:

Take Vitamin D
Especially important during the darker months or if you spend little time outside. Vitamin D supports your immune system and bone health.
Eat well and move regularly
Good nutrition and regular exercise help you feel stronger, boost your energy, and support your immune system.
Make positive lifestyle choices
Try to get enough sleep, drink water, avoid smoking, and limit alcohol. Small changes really do add up.
Look after your mental wellbeing
Stay connected with others, talk about how you feel, and take breaks to relax. Keeping a sense of perspective helps you manage stress better.
Learn about your health
Understanding how to manage common illnesses or long-term conditions gives you confidence and control over your health.
Use the right NHS services
Self-care includes knowing where to go for help. Your local pharmacy can offer quick, professional advice for many health concerns — often without needing a GP appointment.
Stay up to date with vaccinations and screening
These protect you and your community by preventing illness and spotting potential problems early.

Final Thought
Self-care is not selfish — it’s essential. Taking care of yourself helps you stay well, support others, and make the most of each day. Let’s all take a little time this week to check in with our mind and body.
