Why choose Carron PA Support?

We understand that accessing services can sometimes be difficult for Deaf people.

Our Deaf-led team has a strong understanding of BSL, Deaf culture and the barriers Deaf people can experience when accessing mainstream services.

We aim to provide support that is:

Accessible

Communication is adapted to your needs, including BSL.

Confidential

We understand the importance of having a private and safe space to discuss personal matters.

Person-centred

We listen to what you need and work with you to identify the best way forward.

Professional

Our support is provided with respect, dignity and an understanding of the needs of Deaf people.

One-off support when you need it

This service is designed for people who may not need regular support but need help with a particular issue.

For example, you might need one appointment to:

  • go through an important letter;

  • understand some paperwork;

  • complete a form;

  • prepare for an appointment;

  • contact an organisation; or

  • work out what support you may need next.

If it becomes clear that you need more ongoing support, we can discuss your options with you.

How does it work?

1. Get in touch

Contact us by email or Text/WhatsApp to tell us briefly what you need help with.

2. We discuss your needs

We will talk with you about what support you need and whether this service is suitable.

3. Arrange a time

We will arrange a suitable time for your session.

4. Get the support you need

We will work with you to help you understand the situation, identify your options and take the next steps.

Fees

One-off advocacy and practical support is charged in hourly blocks.

A minimum charge of one hour applies.

If you need more involved support, such as accompanying you to an appointment or providing ongoing support, a different service and rate may apply. We will discuss this with you before any additional support is arranged.

Important information

This service provides practical support, advocacy, information and signposting. It is not a replacement for specialist legal, financial, medical or other professional advice.

Where your situation requires specialist advice, we can help you identify an appropriate service or organisation.
